on the thought of mustaches and music...

i was pondering the other day about the correlation between mustaches and good music. i mean is there a reason why most musical artists with fabulous facial hair have such exquisite music? you tell me!

here is some evidence that i have found to support my theory.

Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros
-if you do not own every scrap of this bands music, i have three words for you……..SHAME ON YOU!

Fleet Foxes
-what a brilliant bunch of beards!
-with harmonies that will make even a tone deaf person cry, this is pure mountain man music

Listener
-by far the best mustache i have ever seen, watch out Salvador Dali!
-you may be shocked when you first hear Listener, don't worry i was, just give it a minuite and truely listen to every word. if you don't have the urge to cry after a song or two, please consult your cardiologist.

  Cat Stevens/ Yusuf Islam
- this is an example of a classical folk beard.
-Cat/Yusuf (yes, the man changed his name) is the man, his music is thoughtful and highly eloquent.
-he is also the writer of my favorite song "The Wind."

i pray that you find this insight on the relationship between facial hair and music to be some what enlightening. please don't believe that i only listen music written by people with fabulous facial hair. also, there is plenty of good music written by people who can't grow beards.
